#8 Perle Cotton

This is the thickest thread I carry - 8 wt. That can't go through a sewing machine, so it's only for hand-sewing.
It's perle cotton, so the strands can't be separated.
I use the black for hand-embroidering facial details like eyes and mouths on applique blocks and dolls.
I use the white for adding a catchlight to applique eyes to really bring them to life.
I recommend using a size #3 or 4 embroidery needle for most stitching. You can shop for all my favorite needles here.
One ball holds 42 yards of thread.
