Each pattern includes:

Size
Each block finishes at 10 inches square.
The layout guide includes yardage requirements, cutting instructions, and templates for six different quilt sizes from Itty Bitty Baby to King.
Difficulty
This is an easy project, great for beginners.
In addition to tutorial links throughout the pattern, this post has links to all the tutorials you'll need, from help with choosing colors, to lots of printable guides to a variety of different layouts in six common quilt sizes - including all the math already done for your materials list.

For a single block you'll just need an 11" square of fabric and some scraps for the applique. You'll also need a sheet of fusible adhesive. I use Heat & Bond Lite for all my quilts.
