Pattern Details

Size

Walter is 7 1/2 inches tall when made with worsted weight yarn.

Want a bigger or smaller water buffalo? Use thicker or thinner yarn and a larger or smaller hook!

Difficulty

This is a beginner level pattern, but it does use a couple of skills that are best tackled if you've already made one or two amigurumi.

  • single crochet
  • increasing
  • decreasing
  • attaching parts
  • crocheting two rounds together to make standing legs

You'll need. . .

  • In worsted weight yarn - 55 yards of brown yarn, 20 yards of blue yarn, 10 yards of beige yarn and 25 yards of yellow yarn 
  • Size H crochet hook (or size appropriate for yarn chosen)
  • Polyester stuffing
  • 9 mm black craft eyes 
  • Tapestry needle
  • Locking stitch markers
