Size
The biggest bird (the long one with flowers that you can see stitched on a yellow mini tote bag) is 5 inches long and 3 1/2 inches tall. The smallest is the tiny bird near the top center, below the pink flower, at 1 3/8 inches long and 3/4 inch tall.
You can also enlarge or reduce them to any size you like. In the photos you can see my daughter in a T-shirt stitched with one of the dogs from the first Dapper Dogs pattern. It started out the same size as many of these birds.
Difficulty
It depends on the stitches you choose!
You can use the four beginner stitches I suggest and make it very easy, or you can use some of the more complex stitches in the tutorials and make it a skill stretcher. It's up to you!
