Gemstones Fabric Collection
The perfect collection of tone-on-tone blenders in pretty jewel tones, designed especially for use with Shiny Happy World applique patterns!
(These also coordinate perfectly with the Monster Monster fabric collection.)
To purchase these, you'll need to shop on Spoonflower. Use the links below to hop to exactly the collection you want.
That link goes to every single print in the collection. From there you can click on a specific print to get yardage, or you can use the awesome Fill-a-Yard feature to custom design a yard of fabric featuring multiple prints - a very cost-effective way to get small amounts of lots of different prints. (There's a video where I show you how to use the Fill-a-Yard feature here.)
You can also shop by color! If looking at the entire collection feels too overwhelming, try shopping one color at a time.
As an example, here are all the prints in the Amethyst collection.
The Gemstones Collection has six basic colors - each in shades from very light to very dark.
Each of the following links takes you to a collection showing all the prints available for each color.
But that's not all!
If you like using solids for your background blocks - take a look at these panels. Each panel features a collection of 12-inch blocks, pre-printed with your quilting lines.
Bonus - you can prewash your fabric before cutting the blocks apart. No more tangled strips in the washer and dryer!
If you purchase a yard printed on the Petal Signature Cotton you'll get nine full blocks and three half blocks. If you choose a wider fabric (like the Organic Cotton Sateen) you'll get twelve full blocks and three just-a-bit-bigger-than-half blocks.
You can get these panels in three shades. . .
Remember, you can get all of these designs printed on a bunch of different base fabrics.
They look GREAT on minky, which makes a super cuddly quilt back, and great stuffed animals.
You can get a coordinating print on satin for super fancy quilt binding.
For use with fusible adhesive, I've tested the Petal Signature Cotton and it works really well. I'm testing the Organic Cotton Sateen right now, but it has a few more weeks of being added to every load of laundry I do before I'll be satisfied. :-)
You can also use these designs for some ready-made items. Here's an example of a nice minky throw in the Spilled Cereal print in Emerald.
To see these options, look below the main description of any design, to where it says, "Also available in Wallpaper or Home Decor." Those are both options!
I used this feature recently to get some curtains and a duvet cover for my daughter's room. I really, really hate making curtains. :-)
So many options! I can't wait to see what you make with these fabrics!
