Pattern Details

Size

Jay is 6 inches tall when crocheted with worsted weight yarn.

Want a bigger or smaller bird? Use thicker or thinner yarn and a larger or smaller hook!

Difficulty

Super easy! Can you single crochet? Then you can make this bird! It's a great pattern to try for your first amigurumi.

Materials Needed

You'll need. . .

 

  • 90 yards of worsted weight yarn (Sample shown in Ella Rae Classic): blue (85 yds) & orange (5 yds).
  • A size H (5.0mm) crochet hook (or size required for a nice-looking fabric)
  • A tapestry needle
  • two 12 mm black animal eyes
  • Polyester stuffing
