My mom was the seamstress in our family. She was always there to mend or alter whatever needed it, which might be why I made it to middle age without doing much sewing, even though she taught me when I was young. She's been gone for over a year now, and I just bought my first sewing machine. I actually got this pattern for a friend and had never intended to attempt it myself, but the incredibly clear instructions, friendly tone, and many included links to tutorial videos made me feel like I could. This is more than a pattern -- it's a sewing class in a PDF. And now, after much less time and effort than I expected, here is my silly pickle-frog-melon Munch, my first project on my first sewing machine. My mom would have loved him. Thank you, Wendi, for making me believe I could do it!

Munch

I enjoyed the munchkin and I'm sure that the boy will love it.
I just had trouble using SewLush. It was difficult to keep the layers from slipping around.

Adorable Munch

Munch is fun to make and looks oh so cute when done! I am advanced beginner level and found this easy to make once I had all the necessary materials. The instructions were overall easy to follow. I had not done a plush before, but have done some quilts and tote bags and was able to make this.
