Lovable Mutts Quilt Pattern

Super Easy!

- +

Fourteen adorably goofy dogs!

Want to make sure you have the right dog pattern? I have more than one. :-)

The Playful Puppies and More Playful Puppies patterns are both designed to make specific dog breeds. Together, they have all the instructions and pieces you need to make any of the 50 most popular dog breeds in America - and you can mix and match the templates to make even more. They're both more advanced patterns.

The Lovable Mutts pattern - what you're looking at here - is a super easy pattern, perfect for beginners. The dogs aren't supposed to represent specific breeds - they're just cute and fun. :-)

All three patterns have blocks that finish at 10 inches square - so you can mix and match blocks between them.

This is exclusively available as a PDF pattern, delivered instantly and ready to print onto letter-size paper or fusible adhesive sheets. No shipping costs and no waiting!

With detailed instructions, step by step photos, and video tutorials, this versatile pattern is easy enough for beginners. Use it to make quilts, pillows, wall hangings, tote bags and more!

Perfect for dog people of all ages!

Pattern Details

You get. . .

  • SVG files for use with electric cutting machines.

  • Detailed cutting instructions for crib, nap and twin sized quilts. (There's info for additional sizes here.)
  • Instructions for assembling the quilt – layering, basting, quilting and binding – with links to videos for all of them - including links to Quilt As You Go videos.
  • Links to videos teaching you all the skills you’ll need to complete the project. It’s a workshop disguised as a pattern!

Each block finishes at 10" square. The pattern includes detailed instructions for the following sizes. . .

    • crib (50" square - 25 blocks)
    • napping (50" x 60" - 30 blocks) - this is my favorite size for on the couch
    • twin (70" x 90" - 63 blocks)

I designed this quilt to teach appliqué – so it’s great for beginners, and a fun and relaxing project for more experienced stitchers. If you can use your sewing machine, you have the skills you need to make this cute dog quilt quilt.

I used appliqué with fusible adhesive and Quilt As You Go to make a super easy quilt - almost all done on the machine. The pattern also includes links to videos teaching needle turn appliqué and machine appliqué with freezer paper, in case you prefer those methods.

If you're hiring out any part of the process, please get in touch and we'll work out a fair licensing agreement.

For example, if you want to hire someone to sew those pillows, or if you want to have the design printed on fabric that you sew into pillows, those two scenarios would require a licensing agreement. Get in touch! I'm easy to talk to. :-)

        A cute and fun project!

This is my first purchase from this company but it won’t be my last! It was easy to access, print and complete. UTube videos explain the steps and I have thoroughly enjoyed making this quilt. Thank you for such a great project at a reasonable price!

Simply adorable! I did not realize that I had to download the pattern and I'm not too good on the computer, but had a friend help me and the doggies are very cute. Love it. I'm going to make them into pillow tops.Thank you
