Flower Beds Quilt Pattern

Super Easy!

Beautiful blocks of color dance around on this easy quilt. I made it with brights on slate gray, but those brights would also look terrific on chocolate brown. Or how about soft sea glass colors on a sandy background? Or pastels on white? So pretty. . .

This is a terrific quilt for a beginning quilter. And it's a really fun and relaxing project for an experienced quilter. Everyone wins!

This is exclusively available as a PDF pattern, delivered instantly and ready to print onto letter-size paper or fusible adhesive sheets. No shipping costs and no waiting!

Pattern Details

You Get. . .

  • A digital pattern delivered by email. (If you're not sure what a PDF pattern is, you'll find more info here.)
  • Detailed instructions and lots of step by step photos showing you exactly what you need to do every step of the way. You’ll never feel lost or wonder if you’re doing it right.
  • Quilt diagrams, specific yardage requirements and cutting instructions for five common quilt sizes. None of this "easily sizes up or down" nonsense! Do you want to do math or do you want to make a quilt? I thought so.
  • Instructions for assembling the quilt – layering, basting, quilting and binding – with links to videos for all of them.
  • Links to videos teaching you all the skills you’ll need to complete the project. It’s a workshop disguised as a pattern!

Size

The pattern includes instructions for five common sizes. . .

  • Crib Quilt (50" wide x 50" tall)
  • Napping Quilt (60" wide x 70" tall)
  • Twin Quilt (70" wide x 90" tall)
  • Queen Quilt (90" wide x 90" tall)
  • King Quilt (100" wide x 90" tall)

    Difficulty

Super easy! I link to videos throughout the pattern for all the skills you'll need to complete the project - from using rotary cutting tools to sewing a straight line, layering, basting, quilting, and binding. It's all straight lines. No diagonals, no points, no curves. Just nice straight lines. Easy to cut and easy to sew.

I designed the quilt to be forgiving of small errors. Relax! Your seams don't match up? Not a big deal! The only places where seams come together are where they're all background fabric - so any errors will be pretty much invisible. I planned it special that way. :-

I don't care if you've never even used a sewing machine before - you can totally make this quilt!
