What you get+-

So many adorably goofy dogs!

There are fourteen dog appliqué patterns which you can make into a crib, nap, or twin-sized quilt. You can also use the appliqué patterns on their own to embellish T-shirts, make tote bags, pillows and more. You can even shrink them down to use as embroidery patterns. :-)

Want to make sure you have the right dog pattern? I have more than one. :-)

The Playful Puppies and More Playful Puppies patterns are both designed to make specific dog breeds. Together, they have all the instructions and pieces you need to make any of the 50 most popular dog breeds in America - and you can mix and match the templates to make even more. They're both more advanced patterns.

The Lovable Mutts pattern - what you're looking at here - is a super easy pattern, perfect for beginners. The dogs aren't supposed to represent specific breeds - they're just cute and fun. :-)

All three patterns have blocks that finish at 10 inches square - so you can mix and match blocks between them.

You Get. . .

  • Fourteen cute puppy applique patterns – full size so there’s no enlarging needed

    Size

Each block finishes at 10" square. The pattern includes detailed instructions for the following sizes. . .

    • crib (50" square - 25 blocks)
    • napping (50" x 60" - 30 blocks) - this is my favorite size for on the couch
    • twin (70" x 90" - 63 blocks)

      Difficulty

I designed this quilt to teach appliqué – so it’s great for beginners, and a fun and relaxing project for more experienced stitchers. If you can use your sewing machine, you have the skills you need to make this cute dog quilt quilt.

I used appliqué with fusible adhesive and Quilt As You Go to make a super easy quilt - almost all done on the machine. The pattern also includes links to videos teaching needle turn appliqué and machine appliqué with freezer paper, in case you prefer those methods.

I love this quilt pattern. I wanted to make Chip, so I bought the pattern. The other puppies are adorable too, but Chip sold it for me. He is the reason I bought it!
