Night Owls embroidery pattern
Stitch up a parliament of owls with this easy embroidery pattern.
I designed the owls so you could stitch them on their branches, or just trace the owls and stitch them solo. Add them to a T-shirt or pair of jeans, a tea towel, a hankie, cloth napkins, a table runner, a breadcloth - if you can get it in a hoop you can stitch it!
I had fun stitching these in a wide range of colors - they ended up being Times Square sorts of night owls - but they'd be beautiful stitched up in a more neutral palette. I'd love to see them in grays and browns on a black background.
This is exclusively available as a PDF pattern, delivered instantly and ready to print onto letter-size paper or Sulky Sticky Fabri-solvy. No shipping costs and no waiting! If you're not sure what a PDF pattern is, you'll find more info here.
You get. . .
- a full-sized pattern for tracing
- a reversed pattern for easy use with iron-on transfer tools
- a complete color and stitch guide
- links to videos teaching all the embroidery stitches I used on the sample
Size
The total image is roughly 6 1/2 inches square. The largest owl is a smidge over 3 inches tall and the twins are each about 1 1/2 inches tall. But don't be limited by the size of the pattern! You can easily enlarge or reduce any embroidery pattern to make it just the size you want.
Difficulty
These look complicated, but they use only 6 stitches - all of them easy to do. Some of them are likely to be new to beginners, so I'm calling this pattern a skill builder. There are links to free videos teaching you how to do all of them!
This pattern is not available for commercial resale. That means you may not copy and sell or digitally distribute the pattern or any variation of the pattern.
For example, you may not print the pattern and sell those copies.
Yes!
You may, however, sell anything you make with Shiny Happy World patterns as long as you are the one making it.
For example, if you're using this pattern to make art which you sell at a craft fair or in an online shop, that's great!

If you're hiring out any part of the process, please get in touch and we'll work out a fair licensing agreement.
For example, if you want to have kits printed on fabric, or print the design on greeting cards, those two scenarios would require a licensing agreement. Get in touch! I'm easy to talk to. :-) smile@shinyhappyworld.com
